That's a Wrap!

Hi Pam and Peter!

It's always a great feeling to get something wrapped up just before the holidays.

This season and on this project, the ribbons and bows are on the base cabinets/drawers for your new home.

If it's even possible, I love this design more now than I have at any point in the process. The transparency of the joinery, per my last blog post, and the beauty and utilitarianism of the materials just works so well in concert.

It was a good decision to start with this phase first. It feels as if the design and details help set the foundation for all of the other millwork to come. As a maker, it provided me the necessary practices and aesthetics that I will replicate again and again as I progress through the different elements of the project.

Complicated and sophisticated can be great fun!

Next up....kitchen, island and vanities... Plus, I'm looking forward to working with Peter on the drawer pulls, really cool!
